Miss Omar wins state Talent and Scholarship Pageant

 

Jamye Phoenix, Miss Omar Temple 2003, won the Desert of Georgia Annual Leroy R. Bolden Talent and Scholarship Pageant.  The Pageant was held in Macon, Georgia May 2, 2003 during the Prince Hall Shriners State Convention. 

 

Jamye, the winner of Omar Temple No. 21 Talent and Scholarship Pageant that was held April 5, 2003 at Johnson High School, represented Savannah and the Coastal Empire in the pageant that included representatives from the eight Prince Hall Shrine Temples across Georgia.  Pictured above from left to right:  Taffany Wilkins - Miss Amman Temple in Darien, Tiffany Houston - Miss Ossipe Temple in Valdosta, Maggie Goodman - Miss Al Faruk Temple in Columbus, Ashley Johnson – Miss Nabbar Temple in Atlanta, Pageant Winner Jamye Phoenix – Miss Omar Temple, Jennifer Powell – Miss Stolkin Temple in Augusta, Allen Whitaker – Miss Al Rankim Temple in Albany and Serdana Robinson – Miss Massab Temple in Macon.

 

Miss Phoenix is the daughter of James and Deloris Phoenix of Savannah. She is currently a graduating senior at St. Vincent Academy with plans to attend Albany State University and major in Nursing.  Jamye will advance to represent Georgia at the Shriners National Convention to be held August 17-19, 2003 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
